A classical album release in a new digital format – album app

DRS (The Danish National Symphony Orchestra) and Dacapo Records present “French Pieces” (classical album release) by the outstanding Danish duo Henrik Dam Thomsen (cello) and Ulrich Stærk (piano).

The app contains over 60 minutes of music, 5 videos and articles about the composers, compositions and artists. Listen to music by composers Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Louis Vierne and Camille Saint-Saëns.

About the musicians:

Henrik Dam Thomsen divides his time between his position as First Principal Cellist with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, a busy schedule playing solo and chamber music concerts, and teaching at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

Ulrich Stærk is one of Scandinavia’s most versatile pianists with an international career as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. He is an associate professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and guest professor at Conservatoire de Paris and Musikhochschule Hannover.

The music is recorded at DR Koncerthuset, Studio 4. October 6-8th, 2015
